Iconic Views

We've all seen beautiful coastal locations from the land, the towering cliffs, golden beaches and amazing piers. But have you ever wondered what these locations look like from the watery depths?

As a photographer, I'm constantly seeking new ways to capture the beauty of nature and the world around me, and that's why I've decided to take on a new personal project. Armed with my trusty Fujifilm X-T5 and the reliable Aquatech Housing, I am embarking on a mission to document these iconic places from a perspective few may have seen – from the depths of the ocean itself.

With the sound of crashing waves and the salty breeze on my face, I dive into the cool embrace of the water, ready to immerse myself for a whole new perspective, one that you might not have seen before, through my eyes and my lens.

So, come and join me on this adventure….

Old Harry Rocks

Old Harry Rocks - Said to be named after the legend of famous local pirate Harry, these are the breathtaking, unique rock formations in Swanage on the Jurassic Coast. Another of the local legends says, Old Harry is an historic nickname for the devil. According to legend, the devil once slept on these rocks overnight.

Bournemouth Pier - The beautiful Victorian pier sat in the middle of Bournemouth Beach, opened on 11th August 1880. This has been developed over the years with the addition of the amusements and the zip line taking you all the way from the end of the pier to the beach. I had a thought, how cool would the pier look with just some of the amusements floating above the water? So here is the result!

Boscombe Pier - First opened in 1889, the simplicity of this pier always draws me in and I’ve photographed it hundreds of times over the years. Taking the views in from the water was inevitable. I love how the reflection of the legs can be seen here in the glassy water and the tones of the pier mirror that of the water and the sky. Simple and beautiful.
