Empowering Women Through Photography Walks, Workshops, and Tours

As a female photographer, I’ve spent much of my career navigating a landscape where self-doubt often felt like an unwelcome companion. When I first started out, I was constantly battling imposter syndrome. Every success, and everything that seemed to go right, I couldn’t help but brush it off as a fluke or an accident. "I just got lucky," I’d think to myself. It took time — and plenty of mistakes — for me to start believing in my own skills and unique perspective - and that I have worked hard and its ok to celebrate success!

But now, years later, I can confidently say that the lens through which I see the world is something no one else has. And that realization was a game-changer. My aim is to help other women photographers embrace their own unique visions, grow in confidence, and let go of the doubt that holds them back.

That’s why I created female-focused photography walks, workshops, and tours — a space where women can come together, explore new places, and build both their skills and their portfolios in a supportive, empowering environment.

Why Focus on Female Photographers?

In an industry traditionally dominated by men, women often face challenges that can impact their confidence and career growth. I remember my early days of photography, where it was easy to feel invisible or out of place.

But over the years, I’ve discovered something essential: women bring something different to the table. Our perspectives, our empathy, and the way we see the world are not only valuable but are also crucial in a diverse and well-rounded photographic community.

My goal in running these female-focused photo walks, workshops, and tours is simple: I want to help women push past the doubt and step into their full creative potential. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced photographer, I want to create a space where you feel empowered to explore, create, and connect — with both your camera and with others.

Building Confidence Through Connection

One of the most powerful elements of these workshops is the sense of community. It’s not just about technical skills or capturing a perfect shot; it’s about coming together as women and building each other up. In a group of like-minded women, there's a shared understanding of the challenges we face in both life and photography. There’s an openness and support that can be difficult to find elsewhere.

Imagine walking through the streets of a picturesque city, the camera in your hand, surrounded by a group of women who are all on a similar journey — ready to share, learn, and inspire one another. There's no judgment, only encouragement. We’ll share tips and tricks, stories of failure and success, and inspire each other to think creatively. And of course, there’s always the opportunity to network, to make new friends, and to join a supportive group that extends far beyond the workshop itself.

Exploring Amazing Destinations Together

Whether it’s wandering through the charming streets of Edinburgh, catching a sunset at Bournemouth Beach, or capturing the beauty of the Lake District, or even venturing further afield to destinations across Europe or beyond, the goal is to help you capture the world through your lens, but also to experience the world in a fresh way. As a photographer, I know that it’s not just about taking beautiful pictures — it’s about seeing beauty in places, moments, and details that others might miss.

On our photo walks and workshops, you’ll get to explore stunning locations while I guide you through everything from composition and lighting to post-processing techniques. I’m here to help you create a portfolio that reflects your unique style, while also pushing you to take creative risks and try new things.

A Supportive, Fun, and Adventurous Experience

Photography is so much more than a technical skill — it’s an adventure, a way to explore, express, and connect. When you join me on a photography tour, you’re not just signing up for a lesson in technical photography. You’re signing up for an adventure — one that will make you laugh, challenge you, and open your eyes to new perspectives.

What’s more, it’s a chance to take a step outside of your comfort zone and experience a destination in a way you might never have before. It’s not just about creating beautiful images — it’s about enjoying the journey, learning from each other, and discovering new places together.

Lifting Each Other Up

A key value of these photo walks and workshops is the sense of friendship. In my experience, one of the most beautiful things about photography is the way it connects people. But even more powerful is the way it can help us lift each other up, especially as women.

So often, we hold ourselves back from celebrating our achievements, from truly owning the skill and creativity we bring to the table. That’s why I want to create an environment where women can not only learn new photography techniques but also gain confidence in their ability to capture their own stories. We are our own harshest critics, but when we come together, we can remind each other just how amazing we are.

Your Photography Journey Starts Here

Together, we’ll create something amazing — not just in terms of photographs, but in terms of memories, friendships, and the joy that comes from doing something you love.
