Come and seek out this tiny world on a morning photographic workshop, where we will meet in the New Forest at 9am heading out exploring the forest floor, spending time experimenting with perspectives, angles and techniques photographing the mushrooms until approximately 12.30 where we will head back to the car park. Mushrooms have to be my absolute favourite thing to photograph at this time of year. Finding them is half the fun, with the best places to check being mossy areas or in decaying wood. With each individual specimen being truly unique, I really enjoy exploring how I can best capture its distinctive character and the surrounding environment in which it thrives.
Workshop Overview:
I will support you with my photography knowledge and offer guidance to get the best out of your photographs while we explore the area over the morning. I want you to learn new skills by offering advice and tips, and help you find your own creativity and have a great time along the way! All ages, all backgrounds and all photographic skill levels are welcome in what will be a fun and supportive environment. Please note I am not an expert in identifying mushrooms so I would suggest no picking of them and definitely no consuming them! We will enjoy them with our eyes and our cameras only!
As this workshop has limited places in order to offer the best experience, I suggest securing your spot as soon as you can!
Recommended Kit List:
Camera, Macro Lenses (if you have - but honestly not essential - you can achieve great images with non macro lenses too!), Low down tripods, Filters, Bags, Lens Cloths, Spare Batteries, etc - anything you’d usually take with you to capture any adventure! Walking boots or welly’s for mucky ground and of course a flask of hot drink and snacks (all the essential items!) Please be prepared for any weather and bring waterproofs or at least a waterproof jacket in your bag; in case its a damp day - perfect for fungi!
Excluded:
Transport, food, insurance for accidents or equipment so please ensure you are protected and photography gear.
